(including the threaded ring, barrel nut and indexing pins) but is as sturdy as similar designs weighing twice as much! The Daniel Defense M4 Rail™ allows the individual operator to mount M4 and AR15 weapon accessories to this Military Specification 1913 Free Float rail system increasing the combat effectiveness of the weapon immensely. The Free Float design of the M4 Rail‡ allows the barrel of the weapon to operate free from accessories mounted to the rail system. This is advantageous to the operator because so the operator will experience no degradation in accuracy with added accessory weight impeding proper repeatable barrel harmonics.
M4 Rail 9.0 (Midlength)
Description
The Daniel Defense 9.0 Free Float Rail System is the lightest mid-length rail available today. It weighs less than 11 ounces (including the threaded ring, barrel nut, and indexing pins)!
TheM4 Rail 9.0 Free Float Rail System is designed to mount from the receiver to just behind the standard front sight post of a mid-length gas system AR15 rifle.
This rail can also be installed on carbine length rifles that have a low-profile gas block.
The indexing pins are constructed from stainless steel while all other components are 6061-T6 aluminum. The Rail System is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized and 100% Quality Assurance test for conformity to Military Specification 1913 dimensions.
Every rail comes with either ladders or panels which are made from santoprene, which can handle heat up to 350 degrees.

The Daniel Defense 12.0 Free Float Rail System was the first handguard designed and bulit by Daniel Defense and it is a tremendous upgrade for users who require a light and rugged rifle with long range capability.
This rail is machined from the highest quality aircraft grade hardened aluminum yet it only weighs 13 ounces (including the threaded ring, barrel nut, and indexing pins)! The high strength and low weight of this remarkable handguard contributed greatly to its adoption by the United States Army for the Squad Designated Marksman Rifle program.
The Daniel Defense 12.0 rail system helped deploying Army units issue a squad level precision rilfe that bridges the gap between infantry rifleman and a battalion level sniper asset.
The 12.0 handguard was designed to work with the AR15 riflelength gas system. It will also work with the carbine or the midlength gas system with a milled gas block that will fit under the handguard.

M4 Threaded Ring Spanner Wrench
Description
This spanner wrench is utilized to tighten our free float rail systems threaded ring.
Previously all free float rail systems on the market today utilized a strap wrench to tighten the threaded ring. Strap wrenches are hard to use and often times don’t leave the operator feeling confident that the threaded ring is tightened to the proper torque.
Daniel Defense has engineered the spanner wrench and slotted threaded ring to ensure that the installer has the threaded ring tightened to the proper torque to mitigate the possibility of the rail system coming loose.
